Hunting the Silent Killer: Did you know that every day, 2 individuals are diagnosed with mouth cancer? Yet, people on the streets are not aware that such cancer exists. As 70% of all oral cancers occur in Asia, oral cancer research is rarely carried out in the west thus little is known about this particular type of cancer. Oral Cancer is a growth or tumour which occurs on the lips or inside the mouth. These are mainly caused by changes in genes that disrupts the orderly process of cell growth and death.
