Thanks to the Sime Darby group of companies, RM27 million has been donated to CRM since 2007. The Patient Navigation Programme was also established thanks to the Sime Darby LPGA (Ladies Professional Golf Association) tournaments from 2010 – 2016 which had raised more than RM2 million.
In addition to this, Yayasan Sime Darby has supported the training of Professor Dr. Teo and Ms Yoon Sook-Yee at the University of Cambridge, and Ms Tiara Hassan, who works as a genetic counsellor at the University of Sydney.
Yayasan Sime Darby will continue to be a sponsor of CRMY, pledging RM4 million per year from 2017 – 2020 to support Malaysian cancer researchers.

The investment maintained our laboratory and formed the backbone of life-saving research conducted in Malaysia. 
Yayasan PETRONAS continues to be a sponsor of Cancer Research Malaysia, to support the work that we do in improving cancer survival rates. This funding will contribute towards enabling us to expand our ground-breaking research and position Malaysia as a cancer research hub for Asia.

Yayasan PETRONAS is a core donor which funds the establishment and upkeep of the laboratory facilities for our research. The Terry Fox Run KL has raised more than RM2 million for Malaysian cancer research since 2003. Each year, a volunteer committee endorsed by the Terry Fox Foundation in Canada organises the run in KL and together, they choose the beneficiary of the funds raised. This investment has built cancer research in Malaysia, and is now disbursed through a competitive peer review process managed by CRMY.

The Terry Fox Run Kuala Lumpur has chosen Cancer Research Malaysia to be the sole beneficiary of funds raised in Kuala Lumpur since 2003.The Estée Lauder Group of Companies has been the main sponsor for the breast cancer genetics programme at Cancer Research Malasia since 2008, raising over RM1 million through fun and engaging events. This investment has enabled the transformation of genetic services for women with family members affected by cancer.

The Estée Lauder Group of Companies created the Pink Ribbon and the Pink October Breast Cancer Awareness month, and funds breast cancer research in Malaysia.Working closely with the Freemasons and Eu Yan Sang, the Joseph Eu Foundation had organised a number of fundraisers to raise more than RM1.5 million for Malaysian cancer researchers. This investment has aided in the purchase of essential equipment, and the set-up of a training programme for talented Malaysian cancer researchers in Malaysia.
The Joseph Eu Foundation is committed to education for the less fortunate, and aims to work closely with CRMY to train future generations of cancer researchers.

Joseph Eu Foundation, Freemasons, and Eu Yan Sang have partnered with Cancer Research Malaysia to give back to the community.Khind StarFish Foundation has been raising awareness about the fight against cancer in Malaysia by engaging with the community through the Bald and Beautiful event, which seeks to express solidarity with cancer patients.
At the Bald and Beautiful II campaign, the Khind Starfish Foundation raised nearly RM1 million for Malaysian cancer research. More than 1,000 volunteers went bald and raised money through pledges from their friends and family, including 606 Malaysians of all ages, breaking the previous Malaysian Guinness Record. This investment has helped set up the social enterprise for genetic testing in Malaysia, kicking start a clinical trials programme to bring new treatments to patients in Malaysia.
Khind Starfish Foundation
Khind StarFish Foundation has raised awareness of the fight against cancer in Malaysia, and engages with the community through the Bald and Beautiful event.The Ong Hin Tiang and Ong Sek Pek Foundation provides financial support for post-graduate training to low-income Malaysians who aspire to make a contribution to Malaysian cancer research. Scholars are members of staff who have a strong academic background, and have demonstrated a desire to pursue research in line with those of CRMY’s research groups.
The foundation will continue to be a sponsor of CRMY, pledging to support the training of talented Malaysian cancer researchers.
Ong Hin Tiang & Ong Sek Pek Foundation
Ong Hin Tiang and Ong Sek Pek Foundation supports post-graduate training for Malaysian cancer researchers conducting research at Cancer Research Malaysia.PriceWaterHouseCoopers has been supporting CRMY since the beginning by providing guidance on the governance framework for CRMY, and assurance to the Board and donors through the annual audit process.
