Dr Pan Jia Wern honoured at World Immunotherapy Congress-Asia

Cancer Research Malaysia’s very own Dr Pan Jia Wern, the Head of Genomics & Bioinformatics, has been honoured with the Young Investigator Award at the World Immunotherapy Congress-Asia (WIC-Asia), held on 28th and 29th June 2024 in Shanghai. For those unfamiliar, the World Immunotherapy Congress-Asia focuses on promoting collaboration to improve access to immunotherapy and advancing research across the Asian region.

This prestigious recognition allowed Dr Pan to present Cancer Research Malaysia (CRMY)’s groundbreaking work in cancer immunotherapy, highlighting the organisation’s contributions to the field and its commitment to addressing the unique challenges faced by Asian cancer patients. The award positions CRMY as an emerging key player in cancer immunotherapy, enabling the formation of crucial international collaborations.

These partnerships are essential for overcoming barriers to immunotherapy and improving access to life-saving treatments for cancer patients in Asia. The goal is to enhance survival rates by sharing knowledge, resources, and innovations.
